Getting started: becoming a provider

How do I get started with Tailored Peptides?

Becoming a provider is quick and happens entirely online. There are three simple steps:

  1. Go to our website — tailoredpeptides.com
  2. Click “Become a Provider” and complete the application — tailoredpeptides.com/provider
What do I need to apply?

The provider application collects your clinic and contact details along with your provider credentials, including your NPI. Verification confirms your eligibility to order compounded products for clinical use.

How long does approval take?

NPI verification is required before your first order. Once your application is submitted, most practices are approved and live the same day or the next business day.

Who is eligible to become a provider?

Accounts are available to licensed medical providers, authorized medical facilities, or entities operating under a provider’s medical license. By enrolling you affirm that you are appropriately licensed and that products are for professional clinical use under licensed provider oversight.

Is there a cost or commitment to enroll?

No. There is no enrollment fee, no contract required to start, and no minimum inventory commitment. You can become a provider and place a single-vial order to test with one patient.

Pricing & practice economics

How is your pricing structured?

We operate on a direct-from-pharmacy model — no distributors, no middleman markup. You’re paying for the product and the compounding infrastructure, not a chain of margin-takers. There are no minimums and no contract required to start, and volume pricing is available as your practice scales.

Aren’t there cheaper options out there?

On unit price alone, yes — gray-market vendors and lyophilized-powder suppliers can undercut us. But that comparison leaves out what the cheaper option actually costs you:

  • Staff time to reconstitute powder under sterile conditions
  • Bacteriostatic water and supplies
  • Risk of human error and contamination
  • Inconsistent patient outcomes from batch-to-batch variability
  • No compliance documentation if you’re audited

With us, every vial is identical — same concentration, potency, and sterility guarantee — and it arrives ready to use with documentation available on request.

What’s the revenue potential of adding peptide therapy?

Most practices charge $300–$800 per peptide protocol, so even modest patient volume covers product costs quickly. Just as importantly, peptide therapy tends to be a strong retention play — recurring protocols, visible results, and clear differentiation from other clinics in your area.

Addressing common hesitations

It’s normal to weigh a new supplier carefully. Here are the concerns providers raise most often before onboarding — answered directly and honestly.

“We already have a supplier.”

That’s exactly why a short conversation is worth it — to confirm you’re with the right one, not just the one you started with. It’s fair to ask: when did they last proactively reach out with clinical updates? If they’re serving you well, you’ll have confirmed it. If not, you’ll have a stronger alternative. There’s no obligation to switch to enroll and test a single order.

“Switching feels like a hassle.”

Enrolling is a short online application and is usually approved the same or next business day. There’s no minimum order, no inventory to buy in, and no contract — so “trying” us can be as small as one vial for one patient. You can keep your current supplier in place while you evaluate.

“Your pricing seems higher than what I’m seeing elsewhere.”

It helps to know what the comparison is. Against a cheaper lyophilized-powder or gray-market source, the lower sticker price usually hides real costs — staff reconstitution time, supplies, contamination risk, and zero audit documentation. Our products arrive sterile, pre-mixed, tested, and COA-backed, and our direct-from-pharmacy model removes distributor markup. Many practices find total spend actually drops.

“Our current supplier sells cheaper lyophilized powder.”

Powder looks cheaper on paper, but someone in your practice has to reconstitute it under sterile conditions every time — introducing variables in concentration, sterility, and outcome, plus liability if a vial is contaminated. Our pre-mixed, sterile format eliminates that step and that risk. Worth asking: who on staff is trained to reconstitute, and what documentation does the powder supplier provide for an audit?

“I want to see more research and clinical data first.”

Clinical confidence should be non-negotiable. The Practitioner Playbook covers 20+ peptides with mechanism-of-action, dosing baselines, safety profiles, and clinical applications — written for providers. Tell us what you’re looking for specifically (mechanism studies, safety data, outcomes) and we’ll point you to exactly that. We can also connect you with practices already using our products.

“We only prescribe FDA-approved medications.”

That’s a sound, compliance-first instinct. The clarification is that 503A-compounded peptides aren’t unapproved drugs — they’re custom-compounded for individual patients under a prescriber’s judgment, the same legal framework used for compounded thyroid, hormone, and pain medications. We’re glad to send our full compliance statement for you to review with your compliance officer or counsel.

“This seems complicated — I don’t know where to start.”

You don’t need to become a peptide expert overnight. Most practices begin with one peptide, one use case, one patient population — med spas often start with GHK-Cu for skin or BPC-157 for recovery. We provide dosing protocols and ongoing support, and can walk you through the two or three products that make the most sense for your practice.

“We’re a small practice / just getting started.”

Small practices are some of our best partners — you can add a service and see results fast, without committees or red tape. With no minimums, you can start with a single vial and one patient. Being early with peptides is also how independent practices differentiate before larger chains catch up.

“I’m concerned about liability.”

Pre-mixed, sterile, pre-reconstituted vials remove the in-practice reconstitution step where most compounding risk lives. Every batch has COAs and sterility reports available on request, giving you a documentation trail for board or audit questions. Clinical use, of course, remains under your professional oversight.

“Storage and handling sound like a burden.”

Handling is simple: refrigerate at 40–46°F, keep vials toward the door or front-middle and away from light, and don’t freeze. That’s the bulk of it. Products ship cold-chain in opaque packaging, and we cover storage explicitly during onboarding so your team gets it right from day one.

“What if patients have side effects?”

Most patients tolerate peptides well, and common reactions like histamine flushing are manageable with a brief pause and a slower titration. You’ll have dosing guidance, the Playbook, and our team as a resource, though specific patient management always rests with you as the prescriber.

“I need to think about it / discuss with my partner.”

Completely reasonable. To make that conversation productive, tell us what questions your partner is likely to have — pricing, compliance, clinical references — and we’ll provide materials that address them directly, so you’re deciding on facts rather than a sales pitch.
